The Primary Earning Years - Age 30-45

At the age of thirty, I was recovering from a second attempt at self-employment and doing whatever I could do to make ends meet. No, I never made my living as a stripper or nude dancer, but I had my share of demoralizing service jobs. Three that stand out: working the night shift at Kinko’s, cleaning a neighbor’s house for $80 a week and catering during the 1997 holiday season. Needless to say, I felt like a big fat loser. The point of my blog is not to post a rags-to-riches story, but rather provide an explanation about how I changed my life in 8 short years by making smart financial choices. Perhaps some of you will find help in this guide.
